Erasmus+ and international Projects at GO! TA Zavelenberg

At GO! TA Zavelenberg, we are committed to providing high-quality technical and vocational education, preparing our students for a successful future in a rapidly changing world. Our school fosters an inclusive and innovative learning environment where students can develop their skills, gain practical experience, and explore international opportunities.

For nearly 20 years, GO! TA Zavelenberg has been actively engaged in internationalisation within education. Through our participation in various Erasmus+ projects (previously also Leonardo and Comenius), we provide students and staff with valuable international experiences, encourage cultural diversity, and enhance professional skills.

Erasmus+ accreditation in VET

By embedding international collaboration into our school’s structure, we have obtained Erasmus+ accreditation, allowing us to apply for Erasmus+ funding more efficiently for student and staff mobility. This accreditation reflects our long-term vision for internationalisation, focusing on high-quality and inclusive education through global partnerships.

European collaboration projects

Prep4Pro – Preparing a roadmap for ErasmusPro (2022-2025)

Launched in November 2022, this project aims to create a strong and sustainable network among European vocational schools (VET). By facilitating and organising long-term mobilities for all students, regardless of their background, the project ensures equal opportunities for international experiences.

Our partners:

Over 2.5 years, we have worked together to develop a practical guide (the Prep4Pro roadmap) and communication strategies to support schools in setting up long-term mobility programs. In the pilot phase, we have already provided 16 students with an unforgettable international experience!

International mobility opportunities

Student mobility

Thanks to our Erasmus accreditation and participation in international projects, our students can take part in various mobility programs, such as:

  • Short-term internships abroad: Students gain hands-on experience by working in a foreign company for a few weeks.
  • Short group mobilities: Students visit partner schools abroad, attending classes, workshops, and cultural activities.
  • Long-term internships abroad: Senior students can participate in ErasmusPro mobility programs, spending 3 to 12 months working in a foreign company and possibly attending courses at a partner school.

These experiences help students improve their language skills, cultural awareness, and independence.

Staff mobility

Our teachers and staff also have the opportunity to participate in Erasmus+ mobilities, including:

  • Job shadowing: Observing and learning new teaching methods and techniques from colleagues in foreign schools.
  • Training and workshops: Attending international courses and seminars to enhance professional skills and stay up to date with the latest educational developments.

By bringing back innovative teaching methods and fresh inspiration, these exchanges enhance the quality of education at our school.

Other international strengths

At GO! TA Zavelenberg, internationalisation is an essential part of our educational mission. We continuously strive to prepare students and staff for the challenges and opportunities of a global society.

Beyond Erasmus+ projects, we also offer:

  • Regular visits from foreign student and teacher delegations, fostering cultural exchange.
  • Collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Brussels, giving our students access to prestigious English-language educational programs, including guest lectures, workshops, summer schools, cultural exchanges, youth leadership programs, and EducationUSA guidance for studying in the U.S.
  • Partnership with the Fulbright program, which has allowed our school to host an English Teaching Assistantfor two academic years, providing students with native speaker language support.
